My precious students give me gifts for every holiday. Most of their gifts are handmade and have been made with so much thought and love. This little girl gave me a butterfly love note in a Goody hairband box she found in the trash at home. It is precious. She had it wrapped up for me with several sweet notes inside.
Matthew 19:14 (NIV)14 Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
It would take me forever to copy all the links to the amazing products I plan to use for my December and January stations. I have made a slide show below of some of my favorites. Please take a moment to view each one and follow that sellers page on Teacher Pay Teacher. Many of these products are free downloads. Merry Christmas!
My wonderful principal and one of our fabulous 5th grade teachers helped earn money for the U Can Share Food Drive. The final day students who donated 2 cans of food were allowed to vote for which staff member would be duct taped to the wall. My principal and this awesome teacher each had a team of 5th grade students who competed against the clock and each other as they taped them to the wall. Our entire school was invited to cheer each team on. It was loud, it was fun and many hungry children had food because of these two amazing ladies and our school. Have I mentioned I love my school!
These little cutie templates are the greatest thing since sliced bread. My students love to black out the teeth or draw teeth in as they add and subtract. You can get your own copy at http://blog.heidisongs.com/2012/04/loose-tooth-subtraction.html
This book will enable you to help your students desire to become authors. I have watched my students go from saying "I'm done" to "I need more paper". Sharing their writing and me making a big deal about publishing their work is the key to keeping the excitement alive.
