I saw a mom's blog post about doing the elf on the shelf with virtues last year. I decided to create my own using some of my favorite books. I will be using this in my classroom, but you can very easily use this at home with your children as well. I hope you enjoy using it as much as my class enjoyed it last year. I have added a few slides and books that could be used in a church or home setting. Pick and choose which books and slides you want to use by the setting you are going to share the lessons.
I had our elf and a beautiful red gift box I purchased at Dollar General prepared each morning. The line leader had the pleasure of opening our box and reading the letter from our elf. The elf left a book, letter and an ornament for the child to hand on our classroom tree. I took each child's picture as he/she opened the box. I posted the pictures on our Class Dojo.
I loved sharing the videos I found and my precious books with my class each day. We talked about how to be a student of good character and virtue.
