Meal #1: I put a roast on last night. Any roast will do, but you get a little more meat with a rump roast than a shoulder roast. I poke the roast with a knife then season it with onion salt and Lowery seasoning. Then I pour a can of Dr. Pepper over the top of the roast (this makes it so tender). I also add 2 packages of brown gravy mixed with 2 cups of water (stir powder and water together before pouring over roast). Peel and cut up potatoes, onion and carrots to the crockpot. Cook on low all night. We attend church on Sunday mornings so I turned the crockpot off and let the roast sit while we were at church. I made a salad and we had a wonderful fast, easy meal for lunch after church. There is still plenty of roast for left overs. I plan to make 3 meals out of this roast.
